Terms of Service

Effective: June 2026 · Plain language, no legalese theatre.

1. What this is

MySheetAPI ("we", "us") provides a hosted service that turns Google Sheets into REST APIs and AI-generated apps. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to sign up.
  • You're responsible for keeping your API keys, password, and Google OAuth grant secure.
  • One person per account. Share organisations, not credentials.
  • We can suspend or delete accounts that are used for abuse, illegal activity, or that jeopardise the service for other users.

3. What you can build

You can build basically anything that runs on top of a Google Sheet — CRMs, menus, forms, dashboards, internal tools, customer-facing apps. You may NOT use MySheetAPI to:

  • Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk messages.
  • Store or distribute illegal content, child sexual abuse material, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Run high-frequency trading, large-scale scraping, or other workloads designed to extract value from third parties without consent.
  • Build apps that handle protected health information, payment card data, or other regulated data classes without a separate written agreement with us.
  • Attempt to bypass our cost guards, rate limits, or abuse-detection systems.

4. Your data, your sheets

You own your data. Your spreadsheet contents live in your Google Drive, not on our servers. You can disconnect at any time and we lose access immediately. See the Privacy Policy for the full data lifecycle.

5. AI builder — what you should know

  • AI-generated apps are starting points, not finished products. You're responsible for reviewing the generated UI and schema before sharing publicly.
  • The role-gating "Sign in" pattern offered in generated apps is for demo purposes only — it's not real authentication. Don't use it for sensitive workflows.
  • Daily cost caps protect you from runaway spend. We may pause AI generation if global usage hits our kill-switch threshold.
  • The generated HTML runs in a sandboxed iframe at /app/[slug]. You're responsible for what you publish under that URL.

6. Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • Cancel anytime — you keep access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Annual plans: 14-day money-back guarantee if you cancel within that window and haven't used more than 20% of your annual quota.
  • We don't refund partial months on monthly plans.
  • Free tier is provided as-is; we may change limits with 30 days' notice.

7. Service availability

We target 99.5% uptime measured monthly. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance via email. We're not liable for downtime caused by Google's own outages (Sheets/Drive), Clerk outages, or your network. Status page: /api/status.

8. Acceptable use of our APIs

Fair-use rate limits apply to every plan. We'll throttle or block traffic that degrades the service for others. If you need higher limits, contact us for an enterprise plan instead of trying to route around the limits.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We can terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or non-payment. On termination we delete your account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

11. Changes to these terms

We'll email you and post a notice in the dashboard at least 30 days before any material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MySheetAPI is legally established. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration where allowed, otherwise by the courts of that jurisdiction.
